paul's Coaching philosophy

Paul has a 'leave nothing to chance' and 'leave no stone unturned' approach to triathlon, making sure  training is consistent and progressive. Paul is also a keen believer in marginal gains. Good training and successful races are made up of a number of factors and training hard alone will not be enough to realise your true potential. Tyre choice as an example alone for an Ironman can make a 5+ minute difference on the bike leg. Paul has a  indepth knowledge on everything from training methods to nutrition and equipment which will give you the edge over your competition.

If you have a job or lifestyle that doesn't allow for an off the shelf style training plan and your availability to train is always changing Paul can design an effective training plan around your life. Training plans are delivered using training peaks allowing for quick updates this allows easy synchronisation with training devices such as Garmin watches which in turn offers the quickest and most accurate way to track increases in fitness across all 3 sports. With this plan you will have the ability to have your plan changed at the drop of a hat for any number of reasons. A bespoke plan is the ultimate way to get the most out of yourself and you can have plans delivered on a weekly up to a monthly basis dependant on your preferences.

unrivalled level of support

We only offer one package so therefore there is no  limit to the amount of support you will receive not just from coach Paul but all other members of the team. You will be able to contact me as much as you like via text message or email and I will respond within 24 hours. Included is  a weekly scheduled call to discuss the previous week and go over the analysis of any key sessions, we will also discuss the week ahead. As an exclusive athlete you will also have access to all of the Team Urban Endurance benefits and group support. I've even been known to turn up at an athletes 'A' Race to deliver support.

knowing what it takes

Paul has been competing at the highest level in age-group triathlon for 2 years now and in that time won a silver medal at the ETU european long distance championships in 2015 and in 2016 he placed 4th overall at Ironman Weymouth to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii for 2017. He's not the only member of the team to complete for GB, Joey Rossi has competed at the ETU middle distance Championships in Austria in 2016 and aims to qualify for 70.3 worlds in 2017. Simon Ridley has just qualified for the ETU middle distance Championships in Denmark for 2017.
